Facebook - breakup visible on timeline?

I'm doubting whether or not I should put my relationship on facebook. My main concern is that if we might break up, I will have to delete the "in a relationship"-status, because I don't know if there will be a "has ended the relationship with..." status on the timeline. And then you will have people reacting on it and blablabla.

I hope my question is a little bit clear

You can hide your relationship status by going into your setting, if there comes a time the two of you do break up.

you can make your relationship shown only for you by editing your settings and you will avoid all the blablabla
