Can somebody take a printscreen of a facebook conversation without permission?
Can a person take a printscreen of a facebook conversation without asking for permission from the one with whom he had this conversation ? By the way, this conversation has no private information !
"If you are having a conversation with someone on Facebook or any other social media, that person can take a screen shot of the conversation without asking your permission" Do you mean that my private messages can be shared any place on facebook and considered legal ?

I mean chat history not just ordinary posts or comments

You *can* do it, but you shouldn't do it - not unless you never show it to anyone else.

Well those are a grey area, it is private chat (not open to facebook public) so the question is, "is there an expectation of privacy," but that doesn't mean the person is not capable it just means if there was privacy then they are liable for lawsuit

Yes. It's terribly easy to do. Just protect yourself by not giving out intimate details about anything that can come back and bite you. Those conversations are best left for in person.

If you are having a conversation with someone on Facebook or any other social media, that person can take a screen shot of the conversation without asking your permission. There is no legal disclaimer stating that this isn't allowed, so it's open for anyone to do.

That person can also share the conversation with anyone they want and you really can't do a thing about it. This is especially true if there is no private/personal information included in the conversation (like your SS #).

Just remember that no conversation you have in social media, or even in text on your phone is truly private. It can be shared by the other party. Act accordingly.

Yes you can screen shot a facebook conversion with out that persons permission. I have had to do it a few times to prove that the other party was in the wrong when making a case. Also I am sure you have seen all those "facebook fail" sites right? Do you think the people in those posts gave permission to have them screen shot them and share them over the internet? If you want to hide the person's identity all you need to do is open the screen shot in paint and color over the name and photo.
