If we abolish all social assistance programs, would libertarians then be in favor of open borders?

This is something I do not agree with at all with libertarians. Why should we abolish our borders and let all those people come over, when we have enough of our own people who wouldn't be able to find a job? Why should we even allow them to come over here and compete with our own citizens? Should we really prioritize the free-market over the citizens of our own country?

Our country would never do purely open borders anyway, there would always be some registration process. The government likes to keep track of statistics.

"Should we really prioritize the free-market over the citizens of our own country?"

It's anti-free market if you prioritize citizens of this country before the market. Free market means no restrictions, no arbitrary prioritization.

Libertarians are not for open borders, lol. For a free nation, not a world wide cluster fuck.

Here is the thing about that...if we abolished all the social programs, then only productive people would want to come over...not to mention, all the unproductive people we have now would all leave and move to a socialist paradise like Denmark or Holland or one of the other places all the libs rave about...so there would be more room for more productive people.

No. These are two different issues yet suck from the same teet.

We are still paying for their protection and political stability. Your first allegiance should be towards your own countrymen of whom have sacrificed to make things the way they are.
