What happened to One Direction in France?

I'm a huge One Direction fan from the USA, and there's a trending topic on Twitter about 'French Directioners,' and everyone's hating on them. What happened with them? I'm super slow lol. Just wanna know.

this morning the boys got attacked. well not technically attacked but there was a huge mob around them trying to get at them & liam lost his shoe & apparently they were all really angry and upset, whether they actually were mad at the fans i dont know but there are videos on youtube showing what it was like. i think people just need to calm down and relax but it wasnt as big as everyones making it out to be i think. i loooove one direction too!

harry , liam , niall , zayn , and louis was being mobbed by hundreds and hundreds of fans . they were acting wild . the sercuity guard keep yelling stop stop but than more came . the boys was squeezing through the crowds just to get into a car . try imanging you being squished by a body guard , because the fans are trying to rip the boys skin off , harry got his hair pulled , you can acutally hear him saying " ow! my hair , " in one of the videos on youtube . niall couldn't walk because he was frecking out so harry carried niall all the way to the car and through the crazy fans . zayn was crying for help . liam lost his shoes but than got it back . louis was soo terrifed . but than they got into the car safe . harry than tweeted picture of the boy going home on the train sleeping . they were tired , harry said thanks to all the fans who came out . this happened in paris . its sad to see how fans act , around 5 normal boys . yah im a BIG fan , but it just broke my heart

Well, I obviously wasn't there. But, here's what happened:

So the boys were leaving a train station in France, and were basically attack by the French directioners. Liam lost a shoe, people were pulling Harry's hair, Zayn got punched, and Niall was crying and was freaked out, so Harry carried him to the car (I'm not sure if the carrying part is 100% true), and Louis was just freaking out.

If you look on YouTube at videos of this scene, it was insane, the guys could barely move!

Poor 1D.

Harry later posted pictures on Twitter of the boys sleeping on the train and looking exhausted, and thanked the fans for coming out to see them. So Polite!(:

The boys were trying to get into Gare Du Nord (which is the main french railway station) and they were mobbed by a lot of French fans. Apparently Louis got punched and Liam lost a shoe. #LiamisourCinderella was trending on Twitter
