Are deleted Facebook and Instagram really deleted from the system ?

I was concerned about this because I came to think that what if in a few years later I go apply for a job. And we all know that some companies nowadays check your social network background. And this reminds me of some pictures ive posted a year ago, which I already deleted.

And I mean this is pretty serious because you could lose a job that you want really bad and makes good money whatsoever.

So my question is "how long do deleted files stay on the social networks like facebook or instagram after you delete it?" "will they be able to recover the pictures or posts again?" "even if you deactivate your account?"

While using Facebook, everything is tracked down to each 'like' click and stored on multiple servers.

The government wasn't allowed to microchip babies, as it was deemed wrong, so they did the next best thing. Let you freely provide them with all the timeline, likes, places, photos, etc, they will need to work out your entire lifestyle and activities. Enjoy!

Facebook requires your face, straight front is prefer, but it can also detect side shots for it's Photo DNA. It's not that fuzzy, the photo can be recolored, black n white, resized, scaled, and cropped, etc. It will match off the face which other photos, even if aged. Creating a database of the person's life over years. You can label the faces yourself, which helps guides this process, but isn't taken as fact. Facebook automatically has another label underneath that to what it actually thinks - hidden from your view.

It focuses mostly on faces - doesn't care about your shirtless chest, but does monitor nude photos for underage and/or abuse.

They also track all content deemed as suicide notes, confessions, murder/threats, future plans such as gate crashers, kids posing with weapons, bombing, terrorist comments, etc.

This is all mentioned to the small print upon your signup. Anything you post now belongs to them.

Deleting anything on Facebook, including the entire account, doesn't actually remove anything except for hiding it from your own view.

While what dload said might be 100% true, for ordinary people (not government body such as FBI, NSA), if you deleted it, they (your employer or anybody else) can't see it. If you deactive your account, they can't find it in FB.

But if that pic somehow, before you deleted it, put on some server, it might be seen if people google your name. So try googling your name (your real name & your name you use in FB) to see what the world might see.

That's why never put your pic or even words, that you don't want the world see it, now & in the future.
