I accidently liked my crushes status?

I like this guy, I was kinda looking at his fb profile lol. I accidently liked his status from 6 months ago. I hurried up and unliked it, but he messaged me saying "Any particular reason you liked my old status?" I'm so embarrassed! This guy doesn't really know me, I just added him on FB, and he goes to my school but never seen me. What should I write back?

Say that u liked that because u like that n he is you fb friend.so u jst did that

Just tell him you thought it was cute,funny, interesting, etc. And that you were looking through your older timeline. i mean, if he's your facebook friend, then what he posts should show up on your timeline. And don't be embarrassed! It's just a post!

tell him you were enjoying reading his posts/status updates on facebook, when you accidentally liked his status! tell him he is very interesting just start a chat with him and see where it may lead too!

Say you were just interested because you'd just added him. Say that you weren't sure if you knew him or not but you thought you'd seen him around school so you were going through a few old statuses to see if you recognised him and then you accidentally liked it. Then, if you want to get talking, compliment him or something about the status saying it was funny or interesting? Just an idea, hope this helps
