Is facebook promote obvious?

I have a post I want a few more people to see but I've never used the promote option.. Is it obvious that you promote yourself (don't want to seem desperate) or will it look ok seeing as I already have alot of likes on it anyway (making it look like a popular post that is 'up there') ..Not sure how to phrase it all. Its just artwork

You pay to promote it and there's a note on the side saying it's promoted. A lot of celebrities/companies use it and I see it even though I haven't liked them

Your post will look completely normal. Just make sure your ad is simple in requesting likes - " bespoke, unique, progressive art, Like us and see for yourself"
