A hacker is breaking into my facebook and much more?

Earlier this year I accidentally lost my phone at a bus stop. It had a lot of personal information in it. I went home to let my mother know and she told me that just got off the phone with a strange man that had my phone. He called from my phone. He sounded shady and asked for $50 and my mom said, "no thank you". I tried to call my phone back and there was no answer. I turned off the phone service after that and brought a new phone with the same number. My old phone had a password but it wouldn't be too hard to take it off if you had criminal intentions. I then changed my facebook password, for protection, and logged off of all my devices. I wanted it to be over but it won't be as long as that guy has my information. It didn't haunt me again until recently, because I checked my facebook recent activity to see if my account was logged in recently. My facebook was logged in 2 days ago on Windows XP firefox and an Android phone somewhere in Michigan. Facebook displays the IP adress for the recent logins so I have that information. What can I do about this?

The person must've used your phone number to login to your facebook account.

Change your phone number and authenticate your new phone in facebook account settings.

Also log in a complain in FB community centre about your account being hacked. You can also take the ip address to your local cops and file a report so that they can take action against him.

As Mba Expert says, you need to change your phone number and put that number on as your Facebook sign-in. You also need to change your passwords to every account you have. Don't use anything that someone with your personal information could use to figure out. Make the passwords something random.

An IP address in Michigan means nothing really. That person could be using a proxy server.

Call your phone service provider and see what can be done about disabling the phone remotely. It can't hurt to ask.

I know this is 20/20 hindsight, but your mom should have agreed to give that guy the $50 and had a police officer with her when he came to collect.
