Can I have some twitter help?

I am new to twitter. Is it possible to make it so that only certian people's twitter posts show up on my wall? Or can I make it so people's posts don't show up? Help please!!

Hi,

Welcome to twitter! On your Home Timeline, twitter shows the posts/tweets of people whom you are following. You can create lists and add people whom you want to see the tweets especially.
Make sure you are logged in to twitter first and then Goto to https://twitter.com/lists , click "Create list" and add people whom you want to see the tweets specially. (You can also add people whom you're not following!) After creating list and adding people you can read the tweets of those people (only) whom you've added to the list. Twitter lists are very useful if you are following too many people.
I'd suggest "Tweetdeck by twitter" (tweetdeck.com) for efficient and easy List management and similiar stuffs for twitter.
