Does my best friend feel the same way?

I go to a local theatre group and have done for many years now, I have a little group of friends and I am really close to two of the in that group. However, my feelings have developed for one of my friends. We flirt quite a lot and have a really good laugh. After talking about it to my friends at college, I plucked up the courage to tell him and he told me that I was adorable however, his feelings were not mutual.
I understood this. However, at my birthday party, whilst being together, we held hands and it wasn't the first time this had happened. After the group's annual drama group I confronted him again and he told me that he 100% had no mutual feelings.
I reassured myself this time that he didn't and went with it.
However, the other week we were Christmas shopping and he was showing me a video on his iPhone and managed to flick past a screendump of a tweet of mine. (We both use twitter!) He freaked out when he found out that I'd seen it. The tweet was a quote I found "We fight like a married couple, we talk like best friends, we flirt like 1st loves and protect each other like siblings, face it, we're meant to be." He said it was taken by accident, however, it had been posted on the 27th of November and it was my recent picture which had been uploaded after this date. So I was a little confused.

I've talked to my friends and my mum and they have no idea what I should do.
Please help.
