How can I get lots of Instagram followers?

I have 43 followers and it has taken me over a month to get to that, my friends has loaaddss of followers I mean one has 1009 another has 600 they all have over 300 and I'm just stuck at 43 idk what to do??? I use all the popularity hash tags and I have recently been shouted out but that hardly helped, there must be a way that I can get much more followers???? Btw my insta account is STARRIEEE123_4 . Please help need all the help I can get thx xx
