Urgent Facebook question!!!?

I sent someone a friend request on Facebook who I know this morning. They only use the Facebook iPhone app and not a laptop and they weren't logged in using the app when I sent the request. They have now just got the phone symbol next to their name and haven't denied or accepted my request. Does this mean that they haven't seen it? Because surely if they didn't want to accept me they'd just deny my request and that would be it.

Not sure but when I get a friend request it either says accept or not now.
Maybe they're just ignoring you
