Facebook temporarily locked - need photo ID to unlock?

So my facebook is locked for security reasons and I have no idea why! It said i had to send them in photo ID to prove it was me, so i sent a picture of my drivers license and now i have to wait. How long will I have to wait as I need my facebook for organising important things within the next few days. And why would they do this!? help

Sounds bogus to me. I'm pretty sure Facebook doesn't request copies of photo id from their users ever. How would they know it was you, and why would they bother? They are more likely to verify your identity through email. Not sure why you're blocked or how you got a message to send your is or who you sent your is to. My guess, you've been hacked and tricked into sending a copy of your id to a hacker. Good luck.

Sometimes people make fake Facebook account and pretend to be others. This happens very often now. All you can do is wait, if you don't get any response, the best thing is to make a new one,
