Why do I hear the Facebook "ring" sound when it's not open?
This started happening this week... I have my google chrome browser open but now no tabs are navigated to facebook. My smartphone is logged in to facebook but the app is not open. But when someone sents me an IM or message I hear the notification "ring" sound on my computer speakers. Is this a new feature or is something weird going on ???
I should have lead with this....how do I disable this? I have windows 7, and I have tried turning my phone off and the notification sounds still come up on my computer

It is probably running in the background. I had this problem with a game I was playing once. I exited out of the game but the music was still playing (not that i'm complaining, the music was actually pretty good) try ending the program by going to Settings, Apps, find the facebook app, Tap it, hit Force Stop. This should help stop the noises, if not than i suggest turning your sound off.
