How to make it appear that you are offline to somebody on facebook?
I want to be able to read their messages but not let them know i read them. So basically how to be invisible...

Facebook won't allow you to do that, it'll always appear as seen even if you are offline or online.

Go to your Chat on the Top Click on the Circle than Click on Advance Settings than Under Show Online Except Add that Person to the List and They Should See That your Offline on Chat And Everybody Else Should Still be Able to See That your Online
