Paid FB likes: How are they generated?
I see all kinds of people on fiverr selling facebook likes, twitter followers, etc. They all claim to be real people, not bots, and since a wave of unlikes comes after, it is probably true. How are these people generating them? Some type of rewards program, get 2 points if you LIKE this page?

They are often created using hacked accounts, or by fooling people into liking things by creating fake buttons that create likes when people think they are clicking for something else. People who buy the likes may not know their true origin as they can be sold on through third parties who don't question their origin. Another method would be to create huge amounts of fake accounts to generate the likes, if you search Google for CAPTCHA typing you will find a lot of sites supposedly offering small amounts of money for typing CAPTCHAs which can then be used to create accounts and it's been mentioned that people in developing countries are employed to do the same.
