Instagram won't let me post a photo?

When I go to crop a picture to post it the screen just goes black and takes me to my home screen. Is there a way to solve this problem because its really starting to annoy me.

its not instagram its your ipod/iphone/computers falt.. if its one of thoughs... shutdown all your programs.. (double tap home if ipod or iphone and then hold down program then exit out) once all exited out shutdown the device for about a minute then start it back up restart the internet then see how it is

If you have an apple device: use four fingers to drag up from the bottom of the screen from here hold down on an app icon and remove it by using the minus sign, by doing this you have deleted what your phone has remembered where you were after closing the app.
If you have an android device: open the task manager (on a Samsung hold down the home button) click task manager and select remove.
