How do I delete my old facebook account?

I do not remember the password and I have no way of getting it back, I reported it of being my old account but it has not been shut down, it has a made up name so can I use that to report it? Please I really need to delete it.

I recommend contacting Facebook directly about the issue as they respond faster that way. Also, include some way to verify that you are in fact the real owner of the account (considering you said you used a fake name). Since that account is older than your current one, it may seem like you're posing as "yourself" trying to get that account deleted. So mention you will be willing to provide photo ID to prove you are the owner.
