Facebook glitched me into a person's account?

So I was going to make a facebook using my hotmail but when i tried to make it, it said that the hotmail was already registered. Funny thing is that I have never made a facebook account on this email and there is no record of it on any of my emails. So then i go to "i forgot my password" and then I get to chose a new password.. I login and it has someone elses name who has 7 friends and random people posting on the timeline..... How the hell did this happen??
Also, it shows people posting on this person's timeline at 2010. I made my hotmail account sometime during 2012-2013

someone used a fake email to create an account, and then abandoned it - you just happen to use the same email as the other person did, but you actually created the email account, and the other person didnt
