Could you hack a person's facebook?

First of all, I don't want to hack anyone. I just had an argument with a friend, who said that he can hack facebook profiles through a programme which was introduced to him by his brother, who he says knows a lot of stuff about computers. I don't believe any of these. I think it's impossible to steal data from a computer you have no access into, unless you create a virus or something. And it's even more impossible to hack through a programme! Anyway, I don't know if I am right. So, do you know if what he claims is true? Is hacking facebook profiles possible?

its not possible by program but its possible with phising page or SET in kali linux

False, you can't just hack someones FB, you can make a phisher page or (If you know the person) go to his/her mail and try to recover pass trough Recover questions
