How to delete a post from facebook?

I posted in a facebook group that I'm a member of, and now this post pops up on my friends' (who aren't members of this group) newsfeeds. How do I change this without deleting the post?

Move the cursor to your post and click the arrow on the right side of your post. Your answer is there.

At the upper right corner of the cursor, there is a drop down icon that has an option to delete the post.
