Certain people can see my status that I don't want?

On my statuses i have certain people that aren't able to see them.
But recently they've been able to see them.
Does anyone know why?
I even put the people on restricted but that isn't helping.

If there are people you don't want to see any of your statuses or comments, don't post them at all. You can restrict anyone you want, but that isn't saying that the mutual friends you have with these restricted people are also restricting them.

The "restricted" people can see them because you probably have mutual friends who don't have their privacy preferences set.
