How to get more followers on Instagram?

So, I am an aspiring makeup artist and only post pics of makeup I have done. I made my Instagram page last week and only have 14 followers. I am not needy or insecure but I do want my makeup profile to be broadcasted more, since I want to do this as a side job. Any advice?

Get the app called tagsforlikes and it has hastags that you can post with your pictures. It helps get you more likes and followers. And make sure your account isnt on private other wise it won't work! Hope I helped!!!

To be honest it's all about promoting your instagram by various hadhtags and sharing your page on Facebook and twitter. Today it's all about using the various media platforms to help promote. Therefore social networking sites are great to help gain more followers.

As you probably know there are many people who have makeup instagram profiles therefore you need to show that your page is unique. You could do this by creating a Unique Selling Point (USP) by perhaps having an iconic logo/theme running through your pictures.

A lot of people who use instagram and have a lot of followers tend to be popular as they are already famous on another form of media (from Hollywood celebs to 'Facebook famous' people).

Alternatively, try vlogging various make up techniques on YouTube to help boost and kick start a fan base which you can encourage to then visit your instagram page to then get more followers.

Finally, you could ask people on instagram to share your profile on theirs. A lot of people do this to pass around detail so that they gain more likes and followers.

So overal, to get more followers you can...
-share your instagram page on social networking sites
-vlog to secure a fan base
-be unique from the other makeup profiles
-have plenty of hashtags in your pictures (#follow)
-Encourage people to promote your profile

Some websites have pages where you can buy followers, I have no idea whether or not anyone's tried it but I wouldn't recommend fooling for them. They don't sound legit that you can buy instagram followers :,).
