Say some of your friends haven't got phones so the only way you can contact them is through chat on Facebook.

Tell them you will only go online 1 hour a day and they can have your log in details.
The Internet can be a dangerous place for children, some parents are wary and have every right to be. I will be when my son is old enough to explore the net.

Make reasonable and responsible negotiations and insist that your profile will be private and you won't add strangers and they can check. When you prove you are mature and responsible enough to navigate a social network safely then I'm sure your 'rents will ease up but unfortunately it's their decision to make while you're under their roof x

Your parents are not willing for a very good reason. There are a lot of very strange people using the internet and really you don't know who are the good guys and who are the bad. People could pretend to be something they are not; it is very difficult to tell. Also facebook opens up far too many details about a persons life, details which in the wrong hands could be used in a negative way. Please listen to your parents and avoid facebook - you will thank them one day. There are plenty of other things to do on the Internet which don't open you up to these dangers.

Don't do that.
This is a very privacy-violating, mind-speed-slowing, sociality-reducing, narcissism-growing site.
You will end-up dumb, antisocial, narcissist and other bad things.

I suggest doing creative stuff (on your PC or outside of your PC).
How about learning how to program a PC? Then you might learn how to make your own Facebook! Smile
