Log onto a blackberry messenger. Apart from that, you can't.

Click the chat notification at the bottom of your screen. It should show all friends on facebook. There is an option icon at the top right of that window. Click it. It will give you options to turn off chat. No one should be able to see you on Facebook if you turn off chat.
