Social media as a marketing tool?
I'm in my second year of uni, and I have to conduct a small research project of 2000 words to help prepare me for my dissertation next year.
My aim is to investigate how social media has changed the way companies advertise
Is this too broad? Should I narrow it further to a specific social media site (eg. facebook), and I'm stuck with my objectives too.

i agree with the answer above the activity on my screen is a distraction not a help at all and filtering to what l am presumed to like is just stupid as it is bound to cut choice, so l would look at the user perspective and advertising effectiveness

That topic is a joke, in a good way.

Companies advertise all over half the YouTube videos before they start with a 15 second advert, your forced to watch. Celebs use Facebook to write messages on how they adore there fans so much, right before a new product launches for them.

Twitter is a great tool and so forth. FB, Twitter and YT are all the main ones to advertise. Research and write a good chunk about it
