How can I setup a boardcast only account on Twitter?
I want to setup a business Twitter account but I do not want people to be able to respond to messages. How do I do this?

Twitter functions as a Broadcast-Interaction way - You broadcast, or, as we call it, "Tweet", and your followers interact with you by either following you back, which means they'll be seeing your tweets on their timeline, replying to the particular tweet, which makes it so that the next thing they tweet will be toward you in reply to your tweet, or favorite your tweet, which adds it to their list of favorite tweets (useful for things like coupons, sweet deals, and memorable moments.)
As I have described above, there is no way to disable the reply methods. However, as a Twitter user, you can opt not to respond to replies or mentions toward your account. Keep in mind that while that is a common practice, it isn't the best practice for most businesses that want to gain customer satisfaction through public social interaction through sites like Twitter. Simply put: Keep Tweeting, no replying or following back… unless you want to. Ads |
