Click on gear symbol, Account Settings, Security, Deactivate your account. You account will re-activate if you log in again.

If you want to completely delete your account, you have to go through Help and follow the convoluted path set up to discourage deletion, but it can be done.

Go to Account Settings Than Go to Security Settings Than Click Deactivate

If you Want to Delete your Account Permanently Go Here

Do Not Login For 14 Days and it Will Be Deleted
