In college, I am currently majoring in Marketing and minoring in Psychology. My experience so far with both areas is that psychology involves more writing, as you'll be summarizing and analyzing cases and writing your own proposals and experiment summaries. Marketing involves more math than psychology, example of things that you would calculate are customer value and break-even points.

I would really suggest considering studying bother, either as a double major or a major in one and minor in the other. Psychology can be a great asset in Marketing since a large part of marketing at any level or stage involved understanding the customer and how they think, something you would gain an understanding of studying psychology.

Which one feels best to YOU? Both have math in the form of statistics..probably more in marketing. Both have writing..more in Psych, I'm guessing. Both contain elements of socialization..depending on your specialization. In both, you can choose to do research and not be exposed to people. What is it that you'd like to do?

Psych will have more writing as many of the exams will be "blue book" vs. Marketing that tends to rely more on multiple choice.

Psych will have more math. Many undergraduate Psych majors are just preparing for graduate studies, so learning the statistics and science behind Psych will come into play.

Marketing will have more social interaction. It relies heavily on team-work, presentation skills, communication skills.

In the end, more American companies are coming to campus to recruit Marketing majors for specific jobs in business. Psychology majors, if they don't go to grad school, will still get jobs, but a higher portion of them will accept jobs outside of their field.

Why settle for just one? Make one a minor and one a major, as said above, or just go into Industrial/Organizational Psych. It is the most lucrative subfield of psychology, and is a nice combination of psych and business/marketing
