How can your stop your status from appearing on everyone's newsfeed?

I want to post a public status on my Facebook but I don't want it showing up on the news feed as soon as I post it. I just want public (people I'm not friends with) to read it when they click on my profile, ( I understand this means that my friends can see it too on my profile, I just don't want it showing on the news feed the moment I post it)

Should I post the status so that "only me" can view it, then wait until my status moves down the newsfeed, then change it to "public"?

Go to your profile, click on Info, then put the text in there.

well there is a privacy tab below the space u can change it to the group of people u want to view

Yes that would work. Change it to public after like a couple days or so and it will probably move to the bottom of everyone's Feed.
