Yes. On facebook, on the right side of the screen should be a bunch of ads. At the top of that panel, it should say advertise here. Click on that and go from there.

You could probably use social networking sites for guerilla marketing. It depends on whether you have a product or a service...and whether you're looking for brand recognition or to drive traffic to a location or web site. It might not be the most effective way, but it might work.

On facebook you could start a "group" for your business and invite people to join it. You'll likely have to start with people you know and/or people in your network/area. You could also join groups that seem like they'd have member who'd be interested in your business and post info on the groups' wall.

You could go through popular applications and create bumper stickers or pieces of flair for your product. I actually bought a book recently because there were so many bumper stickers made about the characters that i figured it must be good. It was! I bought the whole series. I never would have known about it except for that application.

Several businesses have sponsored a free 'gift' in the gifts application (which everyone automatically has when they join facebook). For example, I sent my sister a free Crystal Light sponsored gift the other day.

Other social networking sites might be easier than facebook to be honest. Facebook only lets you see the profiles of people you're friends with or are in your network. It might be easier on MySpace or somewhere that people are easier to access.

Good luck.
