How many facebook friends do you have?
Do you feel like its too many?
How many is to many (like people who just do it to seem popular)?

It depends on what you prefer, what you deem as "popular", and what's your aim with your FB account.
Just remember, the more you have the so called friends, the more you open yourself to many people, they know you, while you know nothing/little about them. And the more of that kind of friends, the more you prone on scammer/hacker.

I used to have 750 "friends" on Myspace, more than 35 percent where musicians.
this was a sort of competition between my "top friends" (good times)
That was years ago when the site was still king and Mark was still working out the bugs off Facebook which was i believe only limited to college students.
Now on facebook, i have a friend from work, an actual friend, a sibling, another relative, and a "uniquely" close friend of mine. The last time i logged on was a month and half ago
Social networking sites are no longer worth my time but only to keep in contact with essential people i know
