Why are so many random people from India adding me on Facebook?

I'm not racist, but it's odd that I've gotten, so far (in all the years I've been on Facebook)... around 23 random friend requests sent by Indian males.

I don't say I'm not open minded in the way of talking to people from other countries, but it's kind of creepy they're all from India... and well, they're strangers (and I do have an Indian friend so I'm not discriminating them).

This had happened before... I had just gotten around 10 or 12 and before I actually accepted them, I sent them messages asking them who they were and why they wanted to add me... 2 of them were nice enough to just say "Oh I'm a random person, ignore if you're not interested " but the other 3 were creepy, asking me private questions about sexual themes or saying I was very pretty and they wanted me to post more pictures of myself because I had very few of them. I never accepted any of them anyway.

BUT today, JUST TODAY, I got around 10 in a row, by different Indian males.
What the hell? What did I do?! O_o
It's odd enough they're ALL Indian males... and I got them all today, I've been getting them all day! D:

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN? I know there are creepers on Facebook and stuff but why, I repeat, are all these random INDIAN MALES adding me?!

Of course I've gotten random friend requests sent by strangers from other countries before, but they were just a few.... 80% of those non-accepted random friend requests were sent by Indian males.

Well, you've already covered part of it - they're creepy indian males!
There's a handful of reasons why they could be doing this. One is they're just creepy sexist pigs that want to find some random female to talk dirty with, (it says a lot that they have to prey on someone from another country. Obviously, the women of their own country won't touch them either, they're such disguisting, sex-crazed animals) or it could be possible that they're trying to start up a conversation so that they can eventually get around to asking you to pay for them to get into your country, or some such bullshit.
Either way, their intentions are not pure, and you should definitely ignore and block them.

You might want to change your picture to something that isn't a picture of you, as that tends to attract all the perverts, as they just search FB, trolling for pics of pretty girls to "try their luck" with.
I've had it before, and now I don't have a pic of me anywhere on my FB page (inc my profile pic), and the problems have stopped.

Best of luck...and don't add anyone that you don't know in real life, or from some other means (like from gaming, or forums or other chatgroups) that you have at least chatted to for a number of months.
