Just want to chat with family and several times this evening I'm not getting onto the page.

It says :

Unable to load page.

Any ideas? I've cleared cookies and whatever but no luck.

It's Facebook glitch that nothing you can do except give time for Facebook to fix itself.

You can use Whatsapp or Skype, both are free..

It could be local server problem associated with facebook or main facebook server problem.
But, you could do nothing other than just wait. Or, restart the computer and see if internet setting is reset. Don't make it complicated since, it might be just facebook's own problem . It happens to me sometimes too, and I wait and next time it does work.
