what do you do to connect twitter to facebook?

ok, so i see people posting things from twitter to their facebook, i can't figure out out how they do it. I asked one of my friends how you do this, and they suggested that you go to a site called twitterproxy. I have tried that and it simply DOES NOT WORK. How can i connect twitter to facebook?

1. login
2. go to gear icon at the top right, choose settings
3. go to profile on the left
4. scroll down and find the facebook section

follow the instructions there, you will have to give it permission, but should be straight forward at that point.
