Pressure to like statuses on facebook?

I feel awkward going on facebook anymore- if I don't like someone's status then they might get offended or vice versa. Also it seems like everyone has a charity or is asking for money on facebook a lot too. Just wondering if anyone else feels self conscious using facebook and "liking" updates, pages, etc.

If you are feeling that kind of social pressure on Facebook then you should probably take a break from it. Nearly all of it is useless minutia, and you should not let it have any real bearing on your life, physically or emotionally. It is a virtual mask, and should be treated as nothing more.
