Where do I find something to update minecraft?

I don't hav a username I just play offline and the new launcher doesn't have the option to play offline. So where can I update my minecraft to get offline for the 1.5.2 launcher?

The only solution I can think of is go into the Minecraft Library (search on the internet if you don't know how to do), and create a copy of whatever you want to save, most likely being your World Saves, Screenshots, and Texturepacks. Then, delete your Minecraft, and download it AGAIN at 'www.minecraft.net'. Start the fresh Minecraft. Then go into the NEW Minecraft Library, and paste the copies (which you should've done earlier) into the designated folders
