Facebook blocked from browser?
I am trying to help out a friend who's daughter somehow blocked Facebook from her computer. She has tried all of her browsers and none of them will even load the Facebook page, she can log on from her home and a neighbors computer just not her own laptop. I have suggested everything I know to tell her, such as system restoring to an earlier day, clearing cookies and cache. She also checked the firewall under the control panel, but Facebook does not show as something to allow or block. I am completely out of ideas. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
She is using Firefox by the way. And there are no websites coming up as restricted. And neither one of us knows anything about uninstalling ad-ons.

That's a really great prank, but chances are unless the daughter is a super geek, she didn't do anything too in depth.

Check your options under internet explorer. One of the options there can be "blocked" web pages. If facebook is listed there, you should just be able to remove it.

If that didn't work, you may need to consult someone with more experience to do this, as they likely altered a file that you won't be able to be walked through realtering online.

Also if you see something listed that is just a bunch of numbers, that is likely the IP address for facebook, go ahead and remove that from the blocked list.

See any setting on the browser & it's add-on. Try to uninstall any add-on to the browser, do it one by one to see which is the culprit.

The final, if she can't find one, is do the formatting. But beware, backup any file/data before do that.
