How do people make Tumblr text posts into pictures?

You know if you go anywhere on Instagram or Twitter and you see those pictures where it says a persons Tumblr username and then what their text post was? Yeah, how do you get those?

an image editor like Paint or Photoshop or whatever. all they do is add text onto an image.

I think what you're talking about is taking a screenshot. Those pictures of text posts were pictures someone took of their computer screen, cropped it to show only that one post, and uploaded it.
