Neither. Ethical marketing is a perceived ethical and social responsiblity issue, making it a BUSINESS issue.

I would say that it is more of an ethical responsibility than social. You need to set a good example by lowering wastes and conserving the environment. This gives you good P.R. as well as creates a good ethical foundation for a company. The social things will come alter.

Both, but mostly it is companies are being marketed as green because it shows that they are socially responsible. Marketing is all about making money.
Some companies use the green image as a tool for improving a brands image and often doesn't care too much about the environment. Others use a companies ethics as a marketing tool, although the company is in fact socially responsible. Still others are actually social causes and non-profit organizations. For example, Wecansolveit.org is an origination which is trying to solve the climate crisis. They are being marketed for what they are attempting to do, it's called "Social Marketing" "Cause Marketing" is when a company uses an ethical cause (In this case being green) as a tool to market a company. |
