Is it possible for someone's Facebook status to show something different?

I have a friend who does not show that she's in a relationship, but she has some pics with this guy and when I clicked on his profile, it said that he was in a relationship with her. Is that possible?

I've not heard of that happening before, but obviously you've just seen it so I guess it can happen.

Yes. She probably has accepted the "in a relationship" status, but just has that status hidden from the public or has some privacy setting on her relationship so that it's not available to everyone.
