Problem with my Facebook?

I use the Facebook app on my iPhone 4S, and recently I have been getting weird notifications. I will get a notice that my friend wrote a status, but it has nothing to do with me. I won't be tagged in the post or anything. And the notifications aren't from the friends that I don't really know. I am good friends with these people, I hang out with them and I talk to them all the time. I just think it's weird that I'm getting notifications that have nothing to do with me. Is anyone else having this problem?

If you're close friends with them then you'll get notified.
If go more often to their profiles or if you put them in your close friends or favourite list then you'll get notified.

People you visit most on Facebook usually automaticly get added to your favourites list, I dunno how, it does it on mine too. But people on your favourites list will come up on your notifications when they write a status, upload a photo etc. when you go to your friend list, or groups list (where it has family, school friends etc) in groups, you can edit them there to remove them from your favourites.
