Anyone who enters the political spotlight suddenly is going to be under a lot of criticism and scrutiny. Do they seriously never say anything potentially interpreted as "bad" about Obama? I wouldn't know, I don't watch TV.

For the record: no. The media is going to jabber about anyone who gets picked for VP. They picked on Biden when he gained his reputation for putting his foot in his mouth, and they'll pick on Ryan too. It's the media. Republicans like to call it liberal, Democrats like to call it conservative, but what it really is is corporate and self-interested. They say what gets them more views.
