Will someone PLEASE help me?

I somehow got my laptop infected with a virus called Qone8. I CAN NOT get rid of it, I have tried EVERYTHING. Does anybody know how to get rid of this God forsaken virus??

Qone8 probably sets itself as a default browser for IE and Google Chrome, because it modifies shortcut target for your browser. I think if you modified your target shortcut, it would be just fine.

For that you need to right-click your browser shortcut. If you don't have a shortcut on your desktop, just right-click your browser icon pinned on the task bar and then right-click the browser icon drop-down menu again.
Another drop-down menu will appear, click Properties there. You will be displayed browser Properties menu (see the picture).

Then click the Shortcut tab and find Target line. You will find a long string of text that is typed IN BETWEEN quotation marks like "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.e... anything OUTSIDE of quotation marks is what's making Qone8 come back again and again.

Delete everything that is outside of the quotation marks and then click OK to save changes.
From there, just change your home page and default search engine via browser settings (you can reset Internet Explorer if you like), and it should be an OK.

Although I think you should also scan your PC with computer security program, because I've seen a lot of users infected with this browser hijacker and they had other infections (apart from Qone8) on your PCs as well...
