People who use twitter, does it annoy you when people think twitter is just for saying what you are up to?

I won't say I am addicted to twitter, but I love the site a lot. I rarely say what I am getting up to. I think it is interesting for meeting new people and I always love the Trending Topics and seeing verified accounts (i.e.) celebs recent tweets. I mainly use it for talking to others, not saying what I am doing. They also have GTS (guess the song) games that I love.

I don't have that many followers but it doesn't really bother me, it irritates me when people say we are obsessed with how many followers we have because there are some of us that don't give a damn if we have none.

I just wish that people who don't use the site stop dissing it. At first I thought twitter was pathetic, but when I created an account and started talking to new people, I found it really interesting.

Any twitter users agree?

I used to use it to talk to other people but I don't use it as often anymore, so I just use it for updates on what I'm doing :]

I think that's exactly what twitter is for! I used to try to do abstract, edgy tweets but then they looked stupid so I deleted them all. Then I followed celebrities but some (Perez Hilton) tweeted all the time and it annoyed the hell out of me and the ones that I actually wanted to know about didn't tweet often enough. Now I don't use it at all. I really like the idea of twitter but I think people have to do the same thing otherwise it doesn't really work. So, no, it doesn't annoy me very much.
