what does the 9 friends on the timeline on facebook mean?

So I dont know what this means, Does it mean that I look at their profile too much or they look at my profile too much.
I know it may be like like status, and chat, but im saying like a guy that I like and we just became friends 2 days ago, and i havent liked any of his pics and he didnt like any of mine or we never talked or anything. How does it work?

And if its me causing it, how do i replace him with someone else? so he doesnt think im creep
And can they see the same people I see in that box, cuz then im totally screwed :')

I suppose it's random. And even if not may be the Latest 9 who recently loggedin to Facebook. Nothing like too much interaction sort of thing. I dont know the exact thing but would suggest that you shiuld ignore it. Not of much importance

It seems to be random. If you refresh, it'll show a different set of friends.
If you're worried about people seeing who you're friends with, you can set your friends list to be visible by no one.
