Why do people post every single hour of their life on Facebook?
I'm on Facebook and I'm single. Lately, I've been feeling like my friends on my list only post photos of their kids and what they're doing or post photos of themselves having dinner or something. Posting these kind of photos every once in a while is fine and kind of nice to look at but it's like every single day and all my friends do this. They also brag.

I find it very boring. I'm fine with them bragging or posting photos of their kids once in a while but this is just on a daily basis like every hour??

I post like once or twice a week and it's mostly photos of my friends and I hanging out or eating or, I also post stuff that's educational (grammar or about a book) or I also post stuff about food and how it tastes great cooked this way or whatever. I also swim so I post about that. What I post varies and I try to touch on different topics but my friends don't seem to like to comment and I have like 160 friends on my list and only a minimal number reply. Very very few people like maybe 3 people.

I find my friends' posts boring. I mean they post every hour and about the kids playing outside or them going to the store or something.

Anyway, I guess this isn't a question...I'm considering starting a blog. Maybe the public will find my posts more interesting...What would you do in my position?

it really depends mostly on your age - think about it - most people on facebook are like 13 years old - they dont really understand what it means to be social yet

whereas, with me being 44, i understand it completely

That is one of the main reasons I no longer take part in the vast majority of social networks. Things like FB are pointless. It just provides avenues for those who want to relive their high school lives over again. For teeny boppers and younger I would say its fine if they knew how to have self control in what they actually shared. I do not think people really grasp the severity of sharing so much information. It is easy to build profiles of people from sites like FB. It has become a method for those who want the feeling of popularity but can not find any other avenue to gain said popularity.

I think a blog would be very well suited for you.
