How do I stop people from inviting themselves to my Facebook event?

I created a Facebook event for a Halloween Party, but people are inviting themselves to it and then it confirms that they're going. It doesn't consult me or let me accept or decline or anything. How do I stop strangers/people I'm not that close to, to stop having the ability to invite themselves?

Change the Event Privacy Make it a Secret Event That Will Make it So That Only Invited People Can See it To Do That Go to the Event Than Click on Edit Event and From there you Can Change it to a Secret Event

Invite them with texts instead. Or maybe the old way, an actual phone call!
