Is it weird to thank people for accepting your friend request on facebook?
I do it all the time but I never see anyone else do it......
I only add people that I know and I want to express my gratitude to them when they accept.

Yes, yes it is weird.. If you added someone you don&#x27;t know then say hi and get to know them. Other then that if you do know them then that&#x27;s that and you&#x27;re done,

Iv'e done it some times but not all of the time,i wouldn't say that it was totally weird.I loved it when I got a thank you message from someone for accepting their friend request.

No, not at all.
It is a polite way of acknowledging that someone accepted you into their world. It is a social networking, but as a society we always want to be on our P&Q's with manners, ya' never know that person might be a reliable connection down the round!

yeah, it's kinda weird - it's a carry-over from myspace and friendster - but on those sites, people added strangers as friends, whereas that's against the rules on facebook

it's kinda a silly thing to do if you think about it
