How to not sound like a stalker on facebook?

I sent a friend request to my crush on facebook using my fake account and he sent me a message asking if he knew me. I don't want to tell him it's me and I don't know what to tell him without sounding like a stalker.

The first thing you want to do here is narrow down why you even made a fake account in the first place. What have you to gain from it? If you can think of a couple of valid and sensible reasons then keep it but otherwise just delete the account like it never happened, wait a week or so and add him onto your own account.
